Application Eligibility

Shadow Jumpers’ assistance is as unique as the families we get to connect with

We kindly ask you to review our eligibility requirements before starting your application. If you have additional questions regarding the application process, feel free to reach out to our team at info@shadowjumpers.org.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, at least one member of the immediate family must have a photosensitive diagnosis. The medical conditions we address include (but are not limited to):

  • Erythropoietic Protoporphyria (EPP)

  • Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XLP)

  • Congenital Erythropoietic Porphyria (CEP)

  • Polymorphic Light Eruption

  • Solar Urticaria

  • Actinic Prurigo (AP)

All related trips and experiences are exclusive to immediate family members only. Exceptions can be made, and we encourage families to include such requests in the comments section of their application for consideration.

Currently, only photosensitive families residing in North America are eligible.

Completing Your Application

Families must complete our Family Assistance Application in full to be considered for assistance.

  • Only applications submitted through our online platform will be accepted.

  • Shadow Jumpers will not accept hard copy applications, emails, or scanned PDFs..

  • Once a family has submitted an application, they can edit or update it until a Shadow Jumpers team member initiates contact. After that point, the application will be considered locked.

  • If we discover that a family has provided false information on their application, Shadow Jumpers will promptly terminate the current experience and seek reimbursement.

Please allow up to two weeks for us to review your application. Additional information or clarification may be requested before we proceed. Any required follow-up information or documentation can be sent via email.
