The Rivera Family

Everyone deserves a win during the holidays

Every family experiences highs and lows. It's perfectly fine to seek assistance during challenging times.

This was true for the Rivera family from Northern California.

We had the opportunity to help them with a much-needed reset on their bills and offer a traditional Christmas morning while they navigated hardships pertaining to their children's rare disorder, CEP.

“Our family has had a constant battle with CEP”

“Since our daughter was born in 2018, she has been dependent on blood transfusions every week until she received a bone marrow transplant in 2020. That same year our second daughter was born, who is also carrier of CEP. She seemed like your typical happy and healthy baby until she started showing G.I issues a few months after being born.

“As you can Imagine..”

With this level of commitment for both of our children, we struggled to keep up with a constant work schedule and a steady source of income.

After we were put in contact with Shadow Jumpers, they covered the cost of our outstanding rent, utility bills and past due expenses. In total, they helped us cover $5,000 worth of bills and fees so we could focus on being there for our kids and their medical bills.

As the holidays approached, we were afraid we wouldn’t be able to provide a proper Christmas morning for our children.

Shadow Jumpers wasn’t going to let that happen.

They provided us with dozen of toys for our children, Shadow Jumpers gave us with much-needed relief from our bills, peace of mind regarding our children, and a Christmas morning filled with memories we’ll cherish for years to come.

Reflecting on this experience, we realized the true meaning of the holiday season. It's not about the material things but about the connections we build and the memories we create with those we love. We are forever grateful for the support we received and are inspired to pay it forward, ensuring that others can feel the same warmth and joy that we did.
