Shadow Jumpers’ success helping families take on the sun can be traced back to the very first family we were able to assist, the Stuhlsatz Family from Wichita Kansas in 2018. We organized an all expenses paid trip to Disney World so EPP kids Clint and Hattie could experience the wonder of Mickey and friends without the fear of a reaction.

FUN FACT: The Stuhlsatz were selected as part of Shadow Jumpers’ LIGHT THE MOMENT program in 2018. Before personalized experiences, Shadow Jumpers in its early years would pre determine where it would send a family and have families apply to be picked.
By 2021, Light the moment was reworked into the assistance program Shadow Jumpers has today.
“Shadow Jumpers put us in a hotel suite located in the Animal Kingdom (traditionally the sunniest park when walking around) so we could watch the animals from our balcony on our own terms during those peak sunny afternoon hours.”
